Our library is the learning hub of the school. Not only can the students immerse themselves in the thousands of book titles, but the students learn vital information finding skills here. Students are able to employ printed material, video as well as electronic media for their research.

Library Announcements

Mililani `Ike will be hosting a Book Fair from Monday, October 20 to Friday, October 31, in Mililani `Ike's Library Learning Center. This fun filled book sale and literary event is geared to excite children about reading and learning. The Scholastic Book Fair will offer the most popular books and educational products for all ages, including the newest titles, award-winners, classics, and interactive products from more than 150 publishers.

Hours

The Scholastic Book Fair will be open to the public each day after school until 3:30 p.m. Classes will be scheduled during the school day and school children may purchase at that time.

Payment

Besides cash, we do accept checks made payable to Mililani `Ike Elementary School. Your child's name and room number should appear on the face of the check. By popular demand, we will once again be accepting credit card payments during the after school hours only. TAX WILL BE ADDED TO YOUR TOTAL.

Exchanges

Unless an item is defective, we cannot make exchanges or give refunds.

Primary Goals of the Book fair

1. Build Classroom Libraries - Besides promoting literacy, one of the primary goals is to help the teachers build classroom libraries. Visitors to the fair can check each teacher's Classroom Wish List , then purchase and donate a requested book, helping teachers develop a rich array of learning resources for our children.
2. Building Library Learning Center Resources- The Library Learning Center will use funds raised at the Book Fair to purchase essential library resources including books, newer technologies and supplies that will support classroom and school projects.
